The 156th Street Improvements included upgrading the existing two-lane rural street to a four-lane urban street with dedicated turn lane, curbs and gutters. The project limits are 1.2 miles of 156th Street from Pepperwood Drive to just south of Corby Street and 0.5 miles of Blondo Street from 162nd Street to 600 feet east of 156th Street.  The project also included improvements to the intersection of 156th and Blondo Streets and other intersections along the project.

The project improved local and regional mobility by enhancing the vehicular transportation system and improving connectivity, reducing driver delays, and improving pedestrian accessibility along the 156th and Blondo Streets corridors.
